Like Seeing Davy Live Wherever You Are
I was introduced to Davy by his third and fourth grade teacher, Joyce. Joyce is the Ann Arbor welcome wagon and always knows the cool stuff to see and do and invited us to see Davy at one of his shows. After that first show we went and saw him every time he was in Ann Arbor. While he has multiple projects, FOUND is what I think of when I hear the name Davy Rothbart. The premise is simple: he finds, reads, and talks about random letters he finds on the street. Love letters or to do lists, hate mail or shopping lists, Davy brings life into these papers by extrapolating the possibilities that brought them to be put on paper. With humor and poignancy he reads them in his distinct way and gets the crowd completely sucked in. The podcast shares Davy's fav finds in his special way but also goes further: trying to track down the authors to get the stories from the horse's mouth. Subscribe and get sucked into FOUND and be sure to check Davy out if he comes to do a show near you.Read full review »

Interesting topic and fairly fleshed out themes, but the hosts constant up-talking is driving me nuts. Land the plane.

Love the concept and execution--interesting array of guests and thoughtful attention to detail. Hits on some powerful themes without losing its sense of humor.
