“There are not alot of actual play podcasts out there that I think get this right. Four Orbs gets it right! I'm always looking for an actual play that's edited down to the good parts while still getting that fly on the wall experience. The quality roleplaying in this podcast is what I expect from DnD tables. The DM has obviously been working with this world for a long time and it shows with the history of each location in the adventure. This podcast is way underappreciated and I'm shocked to find they are not talked about more! The production quality steadily increases and I'm blown away by the big moments. By far, my favorite character is Keth the orc. I had a hard time with Dorith in the beginning, but he definitely gets finer with age. Fellamir, Finch, and Astra also are wonderful characters and help keep Dorith on the right track. If it wasn't for them, Dorith would cause I think too many problems. Dave weaves an excellent tale full of rich lore, complicated twists, and mystery built into the land that I would love to be one of his players. I'm jealous of the players having such a dedicated DM to giving them a fun experience. His editing and music just really brings you into the world. I had no clue four magical artifacts could create such an expansive universe. And on top of all this, I've never laughed so much in my life.
