“They fixed the technical problems! Yey.
I like this podcast. It is one of the stalwarts of my news headlines playlist that I listen to in the morning. Mixing it in with NPR, CBS, the Wall Street Journal, the PBS Newshour, and DW World gives me a good sweep of the headlines. I find Fox News's news to be, well, fair and balanced on the stories that they choose to cover, and those stories that they do choose tend not to be exactly the same as NPR. That is what makes them different and valuable -- their different story choices, not how they cover the stories.
Now, if there were a good Asian-based, or even better Philippines-based podcast of headlines, my playlist would be complete.
I am annoyed by the promos in the middle. I just assume that the promos are placeholders for radio ads. Stations replace them with ads when they sell the ads. Since there are no ads in this podcast (unlike the Wall Street Journal's) we hear the promos.”Read full review »
