“I've been doing a lot of night time driving recently and I've basically binged my way through this cake trolley of delights...Skinner never talks down to us because this is not really an intellectual podcast, although much comes up that can be chewed over in that way. It's more a podcast about being up for the challenge, and about the rewards it reaps. I've always loved literature but poetry was a bit of a mystery....I think poems are like crosswords, knowing a bit of the code helps to unlock the pleasures within. And what I like is that he acknowledges this somehow, and in the meantime I have discovered Kay Ryan, Jo Shapcott, Martin Bell and countless others....get in! It's great!
