My first and possibly only podcast
I've been doing a lot of night time driving recently and I've basically binged my way through this cake trolley of delights...Skinner never talks down to us because this is not really an intellectual podcast, although much comes up that can be chewed over in that way. It's more a podcast about being up for the challenge, and about the rewards it reaps. I've always loved literature but poetry was a bit of a mystery....I think poems are like crosswords, knowing a bit of the code helps to unlock the pleasures within. And what I like is that he acknowledges this somehow, and in the meantime I have discovered Kay Ryan, Jo Shapcott, Martin Bell and countless others....get in! It's great! And Frank, if you're reading this, would love to hear your take on Robert Creeley, who's poems I've always loved and never understood.Read full review »

More reviews of Frank Skinner's Poetry Podcast
I love poetry but struggle with it. Frank’s presentation in this podcast is perfect for anyone who loves poetry but doesn’t want to work too hard at analysing it. Frank’s honest reflections add another layer which, as always, make us love him that little bit more.
