Best comendium to a record I heard so far
This podcast could be interesting for at least three kind of groups of listeners. The first group is obviously fans of Frank Turner and his work. Second group is people who have interests in historical stories of more or less known woman, wich is still a perspective that is underrepresented in historical stories and the third group is for people that are interested in the relation between stories and how they could be told in the way a creative mind and songwriter does. I really enjoy the episodes that have amazing guests on each episode that bring new perspectives for us and I guess for Frank as well. They go into detail and still have an length that I consider easy listening. I also enjoy the acoustic versions that represent the core of each song. Furthermore this doesn’t seem like a thing someone would do just to promote the record that came out on friday cause it’s ambitious and the work going in would not be a appropriate for the outcome someone could aspect. So I really appreciate the extra mile Frank and his team are going. Is this overall a positive feedback. Yes, it is. There was only one episode where background noise from other visitors of the location have been kind of disturbing. I think it was on “I believed you, William Blake”. Anything else to criticize. Not for me.

Love the idea for this podcast and the stories so far are fantastic! A great mix of history & music. I hope you keep it going after all the songs from the album are covered.

Just when I thought I couldn’t love Frank anymore he only goes and does this! Such a compelling podcast. I love reading about the history of music and artists. What Frank is doing is giving us women who have been forgotten and bringing them back to life! Opening my eyes to new music. Thanks Frank xx
