Disingenuous
Just listened to the artificial sweetener podcast - data is strongly presented as causation when even the authors of the paper itself, "sugar and artificially sweetened beverages and the risks of incident stroke and dementia", state that it cannot be concluded as causation! DMII pts were not controlled for in the study. Yeesh. He goes on to explain the MOA of artificial sweeteners when this is absolutely not fully known. Boy, my expectations for this podcast were high, especially coming from Pri-med, but were sadly not met. Very disappointed.Read full review »
