“Front Row is a wonderful show which gives a platform to a whole range of Arts discussion.
But...I can’t help but feel that they try and pack too much content into too little time. If you have wonderful guests and topics then you need to either give the show more time, or try to reduce the amount of topics for discussion in each show. Quite often, commentators are actively rushed through discussion and this loses much of the depth you would expect from such a program as this.
If the BBC aren’t able to allow for proper, in depth discussion, then who is?
In a world where podcasts can typically last for over an hour, something needs to change to allow Front Row the room to breath that it needs.
Things don’t have to be done quickly to hold our attention, hold it through the quality of your discussion.
Otherwise it’s just a string of shallow soundbytes, and it could be so much more than that.”
