This is a special edition of FTMA’s F&T Time where we discuss the impacts on timber imports as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The Board of PEFC International have deemed all timber originating from Russia and Belarus as ‘conflict timber’. Whilst the FSC International Board of Directors have agreed to suspend all trading certificates in Russia and Belarus, as well as, block all controlled wood sourcing from the two countries.  We are joined by a number of guests to help break down what this all means.
