Love the easy going interviewing style, guests always interesting. Just listened to Michael Lewis, what a champ - in awe of such good energy, dedication and speed of talk!

Loved the interview with Rosena Allin Khan. Such an impressive person who is also down to earth. Future prime minister!

I’ve listened to most of James podcasts and I should start this by saying that I enjoyed most of them. That’s because I like listening to interesting guests and I don’t care if I agree with all of their views. It’s only when you do listen to the series that you release that they are all guests...Read full review »

Loved the interview with Janey. I saw her at The Fringe a couple of years ago and she was just fantastic. A great guest, storyteller and all round wonderful woman.

please can you interview Tom Walker and Lozza? (Separately)

Me JOB is a master of self deprecation. Lovies line up to prostrate themselves at the alter of pc. That being said he teases out gems if insight you won’t get elsewhere. He’s s nice guy, your a nice dude. Enjoy.

Danny does talk a lot but I could listen to him all day! Best evening I ever spent in a theatre.

Fantastic insight in to Nazir’s thinking, motivation and vision for justice for everyone, wherever you are from and whatever your faith. The world would be a much richer place to live in if there were more people like Nazir! Thank you Nazir

“Do you have the show off gene?” “Did I mention I went to public school?” Interrupted only by his sycophantic giggling, and frequent inaccurate summarizing of others thoughts. I can cope with about 20 minutes at a time if the guest is worth listening to.

Simply the best interview so far. Love her non sugar coated outlook. Brilliant JOB

Listening to his Brexit comments I find him very frustrating as he doesn’t focus on the key areas only the areas that suit his arguments.

Just listened to the interview with lili pohlman, extraordinary woman. Fantastic interview everyone should hear it.

I love these podcasts, they are interesting and I like the relaxed interviewing style.

Typical sanctimonious fayre of the bohemiam/bourgeoisie London elite who sneer at their own country and its own people. LSE ‘educated’ which means a hive mind. Guests are of the same ilk.

Socialist Labour party lover who twists arguments and drones on in a painfully dull and constantly repetitive way. Nowadays listening to Dave O’Brian is like listening to paint dry.

Can we have some female guests please? We’re fairly interesting too.

Really enjoy the format of these interviews, relaxed but cleverly and sensitively challenging, revealing useful and lesser known insights from a wide range of perspectives. Keep up the good work, your podcasts are excellent!

Love this podcast. The Daniel Radcliffe one was so good, such a humble and down to earth man. Look forward to these every week. Sometimes wish they were longer.

Surely the point of an interview is to hear your guests’ views. Was highly looking forward to listening to the David Mitchell discussion, only for him to be interrupted constantly. Let your guest get to the end of their point. Every time he was about to say come to the conclusion of his point,...Read full review »

I needed to listen to a few episodes a couple of times over to make sure I hadn’t been pranked and this was in fact an Alan Partridgesque parody account. Sadly, it seems it’s supposed to be taken seriously. So, I’ll just say, if you’re worried about sleeping tablet addiction, simply listen in...Read full review »

Does anybody involved in the production of this otherwise 5* podcast ever read the reviews? Enjoyment of the generally excellent content is seriously marred by the jumping/rewinding, usually towards the end of the recording. Please rectify.

Maybe I’m spoilt by only ever having listened to BBC podcasts before but the adverts in this podcast are beyond irritating and spoil an excellent format.

These are people whose names I know and think I know personally, due their tabloid profiles. Yet it is clear that I don’t know them at all. This podcast has helped me appreciate the struggles of those in the political spotlight and the humanity that is hidden so often. Would love to hear more for...Read full review »

I've listened to a few of these podcasts and, if you pick the one's of interest to you, it's 40 mins well spent. O'Brien is articulate and knowledgeable but has one failing (which is probably his main strength for being a radio jock'), and that is his propensity to interupt...Read full review »

Great podcast but Jame’s podcasts are the only podcasts that cut and repeat themselves on a loop. Constantly jumping and looping. Been happening for a few months now. The software they use to edit must leave flags at the edits that make the file jump and repeat. Annoying.
Realityczechmate via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 02/17/20
Fascinating guests but appalling production and editing. It’s baffling to me how such a potentially quality “product” is continually badly presented. It’s sloppy and takes away from the content. The Ed Milliband episode was virtually impossible to listen to.
Damo 71 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 02/17/20
Auto edit software is playing up. Keeps repeating sections.
GazWynn via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 02/17/20
I enjoy these podcasts, the interviews and the subject matter. However it is quite clear that whoever edits these does not listen to the show as it quite often jumps back and repeats a minute or two of something you’ve just heard. It drives me crazy and you’d think such a large organisation such...Read full review »

Sometimes painful to listen to. Ed Milliband for example. They cover all of his failures in excruciating detail, bless him. The worst bit is that Ed cannot slag Corbyn off lest the Loony-Left come for him so you can hear him twist and turn trying to duck the question. Agony.
Forbes9000 via Apple Podcasts · Sweden · 02/12/20
I really like this podcast .... when I can listen to an entire episode. I wouldn’t have thought it was that difficult to edit an interview, but it’s full of loops and sudden endings. Really quite annoying when you’re getting into the subject matter.
niggle76 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 02/12/20
O’Brien is a good interviewer and doesn’t shy away from asking direct questions that make for interesting listening. The only problem is the editing; whole minutes repeat (sometimes more than once), answers get cut off, it skips forward and/or back - it’s just sloppy, unprofessional and often...Read full review »

I really enjoy this podcast. Obviously if it’s a person I am aware of then I’m interested to see how Mr OB talks to them and the details he manages to pluck from them. But I also really like the interviews with people I don’t know much about as it opens new ideas and avenues for me. My only...Read full review »

I like the interviews and there are some fascinating people but it’s quite shocking how few women there are. Terrible editing too.

I very much enjoy most of JO’B’s work and this is no different. Only minor point if anyone relevant is reading is that all the recent episodes have a small glitch towards the end where it rewinds about 30 seconds. On the Tom Watson episode it’s at around 14 minutes remaining.
Braddoesntdoxmas but via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 01/30/20
Thoughtful, funny, poignant, this is a great bunch of interviews. Tom Watson, John Sweeney are memorable. But James you have such a great platform and following. Why don’t you share it with some women? Caroline Lucas? Jess Phillips? Anna Soubry? Too many bros on this show...

Great podcasts but does need listening to before release as sometimes repeats itself. Having said that still a great listen

This review refers to several podcasts. Replay frequently skips or repeats certain sections. Some podcasts suddenly end abruptly. I’m using iPhone podcast app.
Cimbalon via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 01/27/20
An interesting interview as usual - spoilt only by the poor editing - several sections of conversation repeated, followed by an abrupt finish and an ad reminding the listeners of the forthcoming Christmas break!?! It’s almost February folks!

Good content but infuriatingly keeps repeating sections - David Mitchell and Ben Elton eps particularly bad. Please sort it out.
Kxtnissevdeen via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 01/27/20
Great guests and a decent broadcaster, but he’s so fawning in these interviews it diminishes the quality and intensity of the dialogue. As a result, the interviews aren’t as searching as they might be. Rather, the interviewer spends too much time trying to be ‘down with’ the interviewee rather...Read full review »
