Enjoying quite a few of these. Totally awed by the fascinating interview with Gulwali Passarlay. Really valuable work James!

Very very good interviews by James O’Brien : the session with John Sweeney was the best yet.

Hands up, I like James anyway, but so far I have found everyone to be relaxed and talk freely and be interesting. The TV now only seems to have a settee full of people trying to out-shout and out-anecdote each other.

Just what I was longing for—intelligent, informative, thoughtful and unbiased interviews with brilliant, accomplished, interesting people.

They say ‘opposite’s attract’ not entirely sure that works on all cases, but in this engagement, it did & what I liked was the respect shown for a politician of great integrity, wisdom & stature & I praise James for the space he offered that allowed Lord Heseltine to feel comfortable...Read full review »

Tony Blair, Ben Elton, Kenneth Clarke and now Lord Heseltine. James does not accept the result of the referendum and now engages a number of ‘interesting people’ who concur with his political views. Unbalanced. Yes. Unbiased. Most definitely no. Have some courage James.

Love listening to this podcast, always have interesting people on and it’s very entertaining

Just listened to David Mitchell who he constantly interrupted. Whilst he has some good guests let them talk more, it's them we want to listen to. maybe be more Elizabeth Day, she actually listens to her guests...Read full review »

I do enjoy this podcast but find it really strange that James has chosen so few women to interview. The show seems to be a middle-aged blokes’ club, bar a few exceptions.

Long form pods that are relevant.

Yet another Monday, yet another episode with a man. 4 out of 34 eposides feature women, for someone who claims to be the king of a liberal woke worldview that is a shocking statistic that even the Tories would be ashamed of

Some cracking interviews on this podcast, just listened to Nazir Afzal and I think it’s the best one yet!

Consistently compelling and fascinating listening as totally expected. Way too old to be a wine snowflake, but the striking lack of female voices is as striking as it is surprising.

Gurwali Passarlay’s interview was not just gut wrenching but enlightening. It’s a pity it couldn’t go on for another hour so we could hear the rest of the challenges within the UK.

His slot on LBC is forced upon us, why anyone would choose to listen to more of this man is anyone’s guess. Joe Rogan he is not.

Very enlightening, ignorance busting and utterly brilliant.

Every episode is excellent. Fascinating and wide-ranging interviews.

Love this podcast and O’Brien’s interview style but I have consistent issues with this podcast skipping backwards and repeating the previous five seconds or so, don’t get this with any other podcast.

I like James' interview style and he gets guests to share new insight into their lives because they have time. The interview with Lemn Sissay in particular is extraordinary.Read full review »

I have been introduced to some wonderful people through your podcast conversations, have learnt a thing or two along the way, shed some tears at some heartbreaking stories and best of all have laughed a lot!!! fabulous, always look forward to Monday for the next episode 👍

It helps to have very interesting guests however O’Brien’s skill is to explore with the guest why they took a certain direction, what drove them to where they ended up. I look forward to every single one and have not been disappointed. Chapeau James...

Love JO’s radio show and book but it’s extremely annoying that the podcast is never available when it says that it is! Don’t launch it until it’s available.

I have just listened to James’s interview with Michael Morpurgo and it’s another cracker. Thank you.

What a delightful, uplifting and thought provoking hour spent in the company of Mr Morpurgo. As a child of young children, he’s been on our radar for a while now. His ethos of educating children is so enlightening and, in our decisive and troubled times, his belief in our youngsters has made me...Read full review »

Hadn’t heard of JoB until Brexit and my mother moaning about him. He appears to be able to get interesting famous people to spend 50 mins talking about their life in an interesting way. Keep it up James and @#€¥ Brexit.

James. You're doing a terrific job. I'm a fan. Brilliant radio. I'm from the Netherlands. I'm shocked when I see all this. ...but this is a fantastic interview. It covers a lot of ground and as such can’t go too deeply into any one issue, but it is a brilliant, probing interview and, despite the legacy of Iraq, makes one think about how difficult it must be to be PM. As Blair says, if you decide, you divide

James, as usual, excels at this style of interview. Not restrained by radio rules he gets the best out of people. I listen to these while driving as I am sick of listening to the dreaded B word debates! Listened to everything he has done in Pod casts, old and new. Well done James. Jay

Great and insightful interviews into a wonderful variety of people who otherwise you may not hear from. James’ insight and thoughtful follow up questioning allows the conversation to go deep on certain subjects personal to the interviewee. Wonderful.

Just one thing... James O’Brien cannot stop talking over the guests. It’s a wonder they manage to form any thoughts.
