The best narrative-driven liveplay serialized podcast
Funny, exciting, imaginative, and at times feeling weirdly portentuous, this podcast has it all and is wildly entertaining. Set a century in the future, in NYC, mostly in the Brooklyn Archipelago (what did you THINK would happen when we continue to do nothing about rising sea levels?). Corporations have taken over. The NYPD is run as a business. There is no govt beyond corporate governance. And the characters have to live and survive in this (what I imagine is) high-tech libertarian paradise. You needn’t have ever played a tabletop roleplaying game to appreciate the show. Game tasks (dice rolling etc) are minimal and when they come up, readily apparent. The show is edited in a way that it is accessible to anyone interested. Support them on patreon, too! the additional content is released regularly and is similarly entertaining. Learn about Utah Jazz, Ipanema, commiserate in contemporary doom and share a warm mug of existential dreadlove.

The superior way to consider a tumultuous future with company. There’s the future, but then...Read full review »

I look forward to fun city every single time an episode comes out! The world building and characters are so compelling, and the production value is so high that it makes me upset this podcast isn’t more widely known! The episodes never run too long, and know just how to include enough fun table...Read full review »
