“As a seasoned board/PC gamer I was looking for a way to explore my new-found interest in tabletop RPGs. Game masters Journey has been a fantastic source of ideas and discussion. Lex talks passionately about a broad range of topics. Adventure design, spicing up combat encounters, collective storytelling; all are given equal airtime. Whilst these discussions have a largely GM focus, they explore issues relevant to all gamers, players or GMs.
I especially appreciate his willingness to investigate a diverse range of rpg systems, there are insights here for all rpg-geeks, be they heavy combat crunch fans or dice-less RP purists.
If you are looking for a podcast to improve your GMing then you should be listening to Lex right now instead of reading this review.
