“As a three-year listener to “Rereading Ice,” “1000 Worlds Book Club” etc., it’s with mixed emotions that I enjoy these podcasts. They’re very entertaining, but Carmine’s youth, ignorance of other GRRM works and his obvious discomfort whenever Preston brings up ANYTHING related to sex, made the listening a challenge. Also, Carmine gets a little too radio-like and seems to “turn to the audience,” to detail some point. He also tends to warn about, “we’re getting off topic,” which is KIND of the point of podcasting. Plus, I imagine him looking like a Gary Larson character.”
