I used to really enjoy this podcast during the Wilde days - since it's gone friends (and particularly in the last episode) it seems like they just want to make snide jokes about their listeners' opinions/questions. Tickner pointing out how the question is trying to be funny is really...Read full review »

If you love cricket but find hearing the same opinion on 20 different websites slightly mundane then give this a listen, just a bit different.

...but in a slightly different (and more sweary) way than the others.

This is an ok podcast and the host clearly knows a lot about cricket and his guests are always good. However the way that the host directs (often expressly) a lot of his analysis and comment to Twitter trolls leads him to adopt a tone of despair and weary "setting the world straight". But of...Read full review »

Top geek, Peter Miller, chats topical cricketing matters with an array of fellow geeks! Love it :)

Good podcast. Always worth a listen. Would be even better with more Australian guests. That's just a fact.

A podcast you have to listen to if you're a cricket fan. The guests are great and the topics are always interesting.

The combination of Peter's irreverent views and genuine love all cricket, especially associate cricket combined with the knowledgable guests make for a terrific listen. Voices like these deserve to be heard by more people.

Featuring Peter Miller and a a rotating array of cricket journos and fans discussing the issues of the game with a particular eye on the England team, but keeping well and truly outside cricket this humorous, contrarian podcast is well worth a listen for anyone who wants a more informal setting...Read full review »

Peter Miller's cricket podcast is a perfect little representation of what cricket means to many of us - he obviously loves it but it sometimes makes him a little bit crazy. With a fan's eye and a geek's heart (or maybe the other way around) and a cast of guests and regular cohosts, he'll talk all...Read full review »

An excellent podcast for the cricket lover. Tackles the current issues in an informative and humerous manner.

I'm new to cricket, but still find this podcast very informative on the current news and controversy in cricket, and it is funny as hell. The host and guests talk like experts who are sitting around enjoying a beer. Good stuff.

Very good, often alternative view of the latest news in cricket world. Majority England but a lot of content from other int teams and comps. I get the impression that peter and I shared same formative years through late 80s early 90s which probably influences how you watch the game today. Some...Read full review »

One of the few podcasts that is cricket-savvy and fun to listen to.

Different look to cricket, but still just as enjoyable. Certainly makes work less boring

Maybe I'm slightly bias, as I tend to agree with most of what Peter Miller says, but this is an informative, funny and engaging pod for all cricket fans. In a market bereft of decent cricket debate, this pod stands out. More honest and frank than most as well, helping listeners delve a little...Read full review »

A funny, informative and heartfelt podcast from Peter Miller. Absolutely love it and would recommend to all cricket fans!

Lots of laughs and fun but also a very good standard of cricketing insight from people who love the game. The passion and love for the game comes through really well, as does the frustrations of being an England fan. It's a must for cricket fans. It's the sort of cricket chat I wish I could have...Read full review »

I found this podcast via Peter Millers twitter feed, and having listened to 3 podcasts, now have included it in the 10 or so, I must listen to each week. Its clear Peter loves ckt, and talks about it, both knowledgably, and with great candour. It seems his guests, also are 'off the leash', and...Read full review »

And that is pretty damn funny! The perfect mix of cricket and irreverance
TheCamdog via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 01/07/16
Good podcast with contributions from some of the best cricket writers on the scene. Peter Miller's laugh is somewhat disconcerting and the swear count is rather high.

I love this podcast, great love of funny cricket which is the best form. Cannot recommend highly enough, except the theme tune the old one was better.
Bagelwhore via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 01/03/16
Even with a few minor of technical issues, plenty of good cricket. Need to work on the front elbow a little to improve the sound off the bat.

This is a brilliant show if you love cricket, a wide range of guests & opinions which make you question your own. Can't recommend it highly enough

Always worth a listen, passionate and with a wide range of guests. Brings up lots of interesting points and conflicting views aired.

If you like cricket then this is a great listen. The episodes with one guest exploring a topic (such as great chat re the decline of the WI) tend to be brilliant and prefer those to the "banter" ones with multiple guests - but that's nitpicking.
chrisswan83 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 12/27/15
Absolutely love this podcast - a must for anyone who is passionate about cricket, hates the dominance of the big three and likes their banter served with a liberal sprinkling of swears!
KatyLLou via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 12/23/15
Also a treat for swearing lovers.

The antidote to Cricket Writers On Sunday; full of profanity, love for the game, hatred of nonsense and surprisingly informative. Also, all the Aussie guests are basically the opposite of Malcolm Conn. Genuine and hilarious.
Apedrapes via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 12/23/15
A must listen for cricket fans, featuring an interesting mixture of guests who show the breadth of the sport beyond what is often portrayed by players and journalists. It also features a genuine passion for highlighting the problems the game faces, without ever taking itself too seriously.
Cidry via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 12/20/15
Do you like cricket? Do you like a slightly differing view to TMS, then this is for you. If you don't, it's still worth listening for when Tickner goes off on one
AndyinBrum via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 12/19/15
Contains 90% cricket and 10% silliness, which is the perfect balance. Of all the hosts, Peter Miller is my favourite, and of all the guests I prefer Dan Liebke*. All podcasts should be this good. Also, all podcasts should be about cricket. *Conflicts of interest not declared.

I'm fairly certain if the actual, non-edited, non-censored thoughts of Graeme Swann could be broadcast, Geek and Wilde would be a podcast result. Hilarious, to-the-point analysis which is generally accurate, thought-provoking and intelligent, whilst somehow being completely full of themselves and...Read full review »
