“I’ve listened to a couple of episodes of this pod now and it is well worth your time. However I’d recommend you listen with a sceptical ear. The perspective is pretty offensive realist (or appears to be to my old mildly initiated ear) and tends to discount both US interests (they’re a given, not something that is ever up for negotiation, in order to achieve better outcomes for all). Certainly in the episode I’d listening to right now (on Iran) the guest seems to suffer from serious cognitive dissonance whereby what’s good for the goose (the US) most certainly is not good for the gander. Nonetheless, it is always good to know what other people think. This does that for me.
Update. The people on this pod are bizarre. They have no empathy, no ability to see anything form the other perspective. It’s like they’re talking about automatons not human being. I suspect they’re autistic.”
