One of the few podcast that go deep into the german grammar, just wish the host could speak a bit slower as its a lot of information.

Thank you for providing this. I am a German casually teaching someone coming from an Asian language. As a native speaker, I never really care about the hows and whys of German grammar. You wrap ups are a great way to supplement the book that we are using!

Thanks Laura - you are giving us a Hammer's grammar summary in an easy to follow podcast. Great for revision and reminder. I keep the recordings on my iPod all the time and keep going back to them.

I have just started listening to her podcast and it's very well done! I have a very basic knowledge of beginner's grammar and her explanation really fills in the gap. Having studied English as a second language, I do believe that the grammar is an important part of language acquision process. I'm...Read full review »

I'm just a student brushing up on my forgotten school skills, and although this has stuff that's to advanced for me, it's packed full of help for even beginners like me. Plus the Laura lady is well spoken and lovely! Perfect for my long train journeys.

This podcast is likely the best German language aid on iTunes. German grammarpod is like steroids for learning German. Thanks and keep up the good work!

This is a terrible podcast. Granted, trying to teach grammar in a podcast is very tricky and maybe it just doesn't work, but these podcasts are bad. I can't believe that the person putting these together can ever have been a teacher, they fly through everything way too fast (especially the...Read full review »

Excellent. It's like having a private tutor but one you can wheel out as often as you need to!

Can't thank you enough. Undoubtedly this type of quality instruction is time consuming to make. It has inspired me to really focus on my German. It's the only German/English instruction that breaks down sentence structure perfectly. The others don't do it because they don't have command of the...Read full review »

If you find the speed of the pod too fast, you can click on the word "Website" on the left and it will take you to Laura's blog. Once there, right under "Links", you will find the Transcripts link. This helps in not getting lost!

I can't say enough about how much this podcast has really helped to clarify and better my understanding of German. It really is the best supplement to any German language course; and is super convenient to listen to when ever and where ever. These lessons are a good review for German students but I don't think they'd be helpful for absolute beginners. German grammar can be pretty complicated! Laura you do a wonderful job by teaching us german gramma. I like the way you did these courses, which are better than the ones I used to have before going to college. Merci

Thank you, Laura, for these wonderful podcasts! They are of far superior quality to any others I have downloaded and they've made some of the duller areas of German grammar much more manageable. Please, keep them coming!

Not for beginners. My only complaint: She talks WAY too quickly. Otherwise, very good.

Love the explanations, but she speaks just too fast. I speak a bit of German, but would like to understand Grammer better. Although her explanations are wonderful, she speaks too fast to grasp what she is saying. Please slow down. Remember, you are teaching. Otherwise, don't stop.Read full review »

I have been enjoying this podcast quite a lot lately. I only wish it were updated more often... But it is definitely really great to have some good German language material for my iPod.

The speaker's accent is extremely British (when speaking German) and sometimes a bit difficult to understand. She has a good vocabulary, but still needs a little help on proper usage of Akkusativ and Dativ. She can speak very good German, but it would be better if it was done by a native speaker.

Beautifully done. Densely packed with information thoughtfully organized, high sound quality (a bit of a rarity in podcasting), information presented in context of real world experience, not to mention a rather sexy voice. An extraordinary resource. Thank you for doing this.Read full review »

The pronounciation is slightly, (by my perspective) different from what I consider to be correct, but a concise grammatical explanation of German nonetheless.

Fabulous grammar lessons: precise and yet prioritized. She boils down the points you need to know into concise lessons, and saves tons of time by telling you what to skip. I'm combining with spoken lessons from Deutsche Welle -- seems like a good combo.Read full review »

Presenter knows German and can explain it simply. Great English accent! A bit verbose, presentation could be edited. Vielen dank!

The instructor is precise and clear in her explanations, without being too dry. Grammar can be boring but she manages to hold your attention throught the entire podcast. This is not for total beginners. You should have taken at least an entry-level German course to benefit from this.
