Cherie’s vision is universal access to cleaner, sustainable period care, and she is helping to create a world in which that is possible. A fierce advocate for blending for-profit and nonprofit models, she embraces the B Corp standard as the future of corporate responsibility. Saalt, a certified B Corp and women’s period care brand, allocates 2% of revenue to donate improved period care, impacting areas of the world in greatest need. Since its 2018 launch, Saalt has donated 60,000+ period cups and underwear across 50 countries, empowering underprivileged women and girls to confidently manage their periods, stay in school, and break the cycle of poverty. Prior to Saalt, Cherie, an entrepreneur with a 15-year publication background, co-authored nine editions of collegiate textbooks on fitness and wellness. A mother of five daughters (and one son), she envisions a world where menstruation is not a barrier, and gender parity ensures equal opportunities for all to pursue their dreams.
