Great podcast
I've been listening to this podcast for the past year or so and it remains hands down my favorite out of every podcast I listen to. It's the most engaging of any of the foreign affairs podcasts--much more so than the recorded lectures from the Carnegie Council or Brookings or any of the other think tanks and even more so than the specifically designed think tanks. Mark is a good interviewer, he knows how to let his subjects talk and prevent them from going on major tangents. I normally listen to these on my morning runs or commute to work and on numerous occasions I've gone to Barnes and Noble immediately after work that day because it was that important that I got the interviewee's book right away. I think this should be essential listening for any student of political science or international relations-I wish I had found it back when I was in college because it would have expanded my knowledge base and exposed me to a wider variety of career paths in the field. I would also recommend it to anyone who is interested in foreign affairs as it gives a much more nuanced understanding of what is going on in the news.Read full review »

This review is long overdue, but I just finished listening to the interview with a former boss of mine, ADM Stavridis, and now I'm motivated. Mr. Goldberg has a great mix of policy issues and interviews with leading thought leaders in international affairs.Read full review »

Mark is always asking the right questions and has a really good grasp of human rights policy and the UN. Interviews with activists and leaders are a neat addition too.
