James Lyne worked with the US Sailing team at the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games. He has won the Melges 20 World Championships with Samba Pa Ti, and in 2014 coached Alex Roepers' team on Plenty to victory at the Rolex Farr 40 World Championships.

Martin started racing the Farr 40 back in 2006, and had been in the class for a few years competing at some World Championships before taking a break. On his return to the class, he scored his best result ever, finishing 2nd at the Rolex Farr 40 World Championships in 2014. While the Farr 40 is a strict one-design, there have been a few key differences, and it's important to make sure you and your boat are on the right side of the tolerances.
