Too long. Not enough research.
The Arm Trials lacked evidence and the Gunplot Podcast lacks research. Despite access to Charles Haughey’s son we get very little information about the truth. As far as the makers are concerned, no Haughey information means no Haughey guilt. Haughey fanboys and Haughey apologists. The makers remind me of the “Bring Back Charlie” brigade of the mid-nineties. There are none so blind as those that refuse to see.

Superbly written, superbly produced, and gripping all the way through without manufacturing the drama. A brilliant history documentary podcast

I was too young at the time to appreciate what was going on but have some recollections of the headlines and news bulletins. This series (much like the book “Say Nothing”) fleshes out the back story perfectly. Highly recommended for anyone interested in the history of the era.
