“I've lived in Big 10 towns for the last 10 years and never watched a football game; I've not seen a basketball game since high school; I've never watched golf, tennis, etc., etc. And yet I LOVE this podcast: yes, it talks about sports & athletes, but it does so in a way that gets at why sports matter and not why sports can seem (sometimes) silly and pointless. It is, on reflection, better than any podcast but Planet Money in that it explains the ideas and events that underlie our culture and world.
