“09.2015 - UPDATE - 5 stars down to 3 (and probably being generous). They changed the lineup and show is just not as good. Josh is still around, and new co-host isn't bad but David Helman is just awful. He is young writer trying to find his way into the business but should stick to writing. He likes to talk over people, and his opinions are just just echoing things he has heard other people say OR are just not thought through. Talks too much but doesn't say anything. I thinking he likes the sound of his own voice a lot. I'm unsubscribing and hopefully he'll leave the show at some point soon so I can start getting my additional Cowboy's fix that this show used to provide.
12.2014 - Took them a little while to get it right but finally got there. Rob Phillips (formerly of Talkin Cowboys show, and writer of the check down sports blog) provides great compliment to Josh Ellis' dry humor and "devilish" personality. Their "producer" Douglas chimes in when needed and show overall has great balance of information and entertainment. They don't sugar coat the Cowboys situation and I appreciate the honesty and fun that this show gives.
And Yeah, one of the main purposes is to promote the DC magazine subscriptions, and they crowbar that into the show a lot, but heck, show is free so it's a small price.”Read full review »
