Will talks about the hoopla over the NBA all star game and Asia Durr's covid fight, and he names the top ten NBA guys and Lebron is 3. I know that's crazy. And I know he's number one on everyone else's list. And I still have a lot of faith in the Lakers but he's not one of my top 2 guys. And Luka is not either. Luka is 10, and I don't understand people putting Luka higher than that. There. I said it.

Will gives his thoughts on the new NBA season, and which teams he believes in, and Lori Loughlin. If you hate basketball and/or Lori Loughlin you probably won't like this podcast.

Will looks at the newest draft class, which he loves. And just talks about the favorites for rookies of the year, and which teams are smart. He is also the only person watching the NBA to posit the question why is it rookie and not rooky. I totally get why rookies is the plural but if you really think about it what other singular thing has an ie and not a y. Bet you weren't counting on reading that question in the bio but I also bet you don't know the answer.

Will talks about the NBA Draft with the election in the background. Talk about mixed priorities. Is Lamelo Ball the Georgia of this draft? He is. But Will doesn't draw that specific parallel during the episode. He mostly just focuses on the basketball and then peppers in a few election rants. I don't know if they're technically rants.

Kiah and Will talk about the WNBA season, the WNBA champion Seattle Storm, the NBA co-almost Champion Lakers & Heat & blaming Frank Vogel. Was too much blame put on the shoulders of Danny Green? What about Markieff Morris:? You''ll have to listen to find out. But in the episode Will lambasts Frank Vogel for not calling time out with four seconds left. After the pod Kiah let Will know that Vogel didn't have a time out. If Will had known that he would have pivoted to lambasting Vogel...

Will reacts to the Storm winning the WNBA finals and the media presupposing that the Lakers will win the NBA finals. That's an apt description of how this episode plays out. But then Will goes even further and examines the landscape of the NBA for next year. He predicts chaos and anarchy in the West with potentially only 3 teams from this years Western conference playoffs making it next year. I know that sounds crazy but is it?

Will dives in to the conference finals match-ups and talks about the media narratives surrounding them. He also breaks down what is likely to happen moving forward. Basically if after this podcast goes out the Celtics win the NBA championship, Will is going to look very very dumb, and it won't be the first time in his life that's been the case. But after the last time it happened he swore to himself, "Never Again".

Will gives his take on the second round. He made some calls that were prescient and at least one that was stupidly wrong. To keep it real. But rather than gloat about correctly predicting both serieses out West and the Miami series (and he ultimately went 4 for 4 with first round predictions, he instead chose to gloat about correctly predicting that Crystal Dangerfield will be the ROY (he may be wrong but he is prematurely gloating). Will also gives his take on Lakers / Clippers (also...

Will breaks down the first two rounds of the playoffs and talks about which NBA series are up for grabs and which ones are in the bag. He discusses the long term implications of the first round on the NBA moving forward. Will also looks at the MVP race and ROY race for the WNBA and talks about who's been impressive.

Kiah and Will are joined by LA Sparks PG Chelsea Gray! She talks about her zero tolerance policy for Tar Heel blue, her friendship with Kobe Bryant, appearing on The Detail, coping with injury, her love of Beyonce, and even more than just that. Chelsea is one of the best five players in the WNBA, but does she care more about how she ranks compared to her contemporaries, or how she ranks on the all time point guard list? She answers that question among others.

We actually recorded this podcast a few days before Kobe died since he said those nice things about the 3 WNBA stars. We talked about the validity of his statements, and how we were both jealous of the tutelage that his daughters received from him. We talked about how Gigi was going to inevitably play for UConn and how a lot of young women in the NCAA are mimicking James Harden's game (and to some extent Kobe's) and how Kiah feels about that. We also talk a little about the new CBA for the...

Will and Max break down the east. Will compares three young guards to each other. Max predicts the Eastern standings. Will hates on people that are treating Marquelle Fultz's game against the Lakers as though it means something. Will continues to doubt on the Celtics but gives props to basically everyone else in the East, especially one team. That team is the Miami Heat. Here's the thing: Jimmy Butler thinks that the best player in the NBA is Jimmy Butler. What if he's right?

Kiah and Will talk about which playoff teams can truly contend. They talk about the Jazz's winning streak and the Nuggets recent impressive showings. Out East it's a little less clear who's for real. Also Andre Drummond is on the trade block, Kiah talks about where he would fit in. Lastly but certainly not leastly (not a word) Kiah predicts how much she is going to enjoy Bad Boys 3, and the new albums from Drake and Rihanna (a lot).

Will and Max break down the current NBA landscape while also hitting on a few situations around the world. If you want to donate to help Australia there are a thousand ways to do so. One is here: https://www.fnpw.org.au/appeat ttls/save-the-platypus Changing gears, what the Thunder are doing has never happened before in NBA history. They are fielding a playoff team while also holding a slew of extra picks as well as the right to swap four times. It's mind boggling. Also Will still isn't...

Will and Max talk about the Jazz and how they should make a change. Will does a 180 on Luka Doncic for an admittedly bad reason. Will also talks about a crazy story surrounding Charlize Theron's press tour for the movie Bombshell. Tune in to find out what @willpoznan @maxmarcuscomedy

Kiah and Will talk about the Lakers Big Three (Lebron, Anthony Davis, and Lizzo). Kiah and will compare the legacy of Lebron, KD, and Kawhi. They posit this question: which if these legacies is Giannis most likely to use as his blueprint. There's also a little Christmas stuff at the end. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays @kstokes41 @willpoznan.

Will asks Kiah what she thinks of the internet term "basketball genius." They discuss the card-carrying basketball geniuses of the NBA and WNBA. They also talk about a particularly interesting tabloid story and then they fan out about the television show "Rick and Morty" It's a great episode.

Will and Producer Max from Potterhood talk about believing the hype/despair around the Mavs, Blazers, Sixers, and the Grammy nominees. There's some other stuff in there too and it's a lot of fun. You'll never believe which player Will wants to see get traded to the Mavs. It's counterintuitive. @maxmarcuscomedy @willpoznan

Will gives some of his more "out there" NBA opinions, including his thoughts on Nerlens Noel. He also talks Andy Ruiz Jr. and the new Tesla Cybertruck. The only way to know how Will feels about these topics and more is to listen to the episode (with the exception of the Andy Ruiz Jr. thing. Will loves Andy Ruiz Jr. Everyone loves Andy Ruiz Jr. If you are rooting for Anthony Joshua you are a monster). @willponan.

Kiah and Will discuss the leagues' most slept on MVP candidate: Lebron James and TV's best show Ricky and Morty. They also check in with the seasons being had by Giannis, Harden, Andre Drummond, Kemba, and the Spurs. It's been a weird NBA season and we might be in store for a trade-crazy December.
