She loved dancing. When she saw The Nutcracker show as a little girl, she said “I want to do that!” to her mom. She started training with the dance team, was sore all over her body. She put her body and soul into this passion and craft. She was Ecstatic. Elated. Happy. Until she got the letter. Listen to my interview with my business mentor, Sarah Walton, and our conversation about the limited belief “you can either take care of yourself or your family BUT you can’t have both”. About Sarah...

One day, my daughters will see it and understand that I’ve done it for them. Nothing else. This is my legacy. This is me passing down a baton of confidence, energy and passion instead of a baton of guilt, shame and sacrifice. I hope you enjoy it. Sex and money are two taboos we, women, rarely don’t talk about. As women, we often feel more comfortable disclosing our age or weight than to share how much money we’re making, how much money do we have in our bank account and what’s our credit score. The same goes true for sex. Women don’t often talk about sex, women are the ones having headaches to avoid sex, women are the ones choosing Netflix over sex. I often wonder why? Why is sex such a taboo for women? So I polled my community, and...

Years ago, when I was working through healing some of the emotional crap I hired a coach who taught me something I actually already knew. Wait, what? Yes, she taught me to write in my journal as a self-regulating technique to learn to listen to myself better. You see, I knew about it already. Problem was that I wasn’t practicing it daily. What’s the point of knowing something without practicing it? Transformation happens in the action, not in the ideation process. Simply said, journaling has...

Today on the show I get real, raw and vulnerable about my story of origin. I never thought I'd tell this story because I didn't think it mattered. However, this week I was interviewed on a podcast and when the host asked me 'how did your childhood shape you?'. In the beginning, I was dumbfounded, I didn't know what to say. I thought my story begins with motherhood. That's when it all began... Not true. It all began when I was born (well, actually, much longer before, but I'll spare...

Mamas, These past few weeks I've dealt with some pretty difficult family drama. For the privacy of my family members, I won't mention the exact details, but I will tell you that this had the potential of sucking the energy out of me. Surprisingly, it didn't. In the past, something as big as this had the power over me to knock me off my feet. I have a close relationship with my parents (maybe too close) and seeing them struggle or in pain had the power to shut me down for weeks. I...
