“Like most runners I know when I’ve had an injury or nagging pain I over-research, self diagnose, and ultimately just run through it. Why? Because if we went to a doctor they’d just tell us to stop running. That’s not an acceptable solution.
I’ve been listening to the Healthy Runner for 6 months now and I’ve picked up so much knowledge. I consider myself an experienced runner too. I’ve run 5 marathons and a 50K.
Originally when I was looking for running podcasts I thought I’d want to listen to more gear reviews but gear knowledge is not what I’m lacking. And besides, that’s all personal preference anyways so what works for that person won’t necessarily work for me.
I knew I should be working on core and strength but I didn’t know just how much I personally needed it.
So far I’m 6 months healthy and with any luck (and a lot of good advice) I’ll stay that way.”
