Never fails to be engaging and interesting. Lucy always seems to tease out the most fascinating anecdotes from her guests, revealing new angles on the industry, the artistry of acting or simply unique personal experiences that shape a career. Whomever it is, whatever the speech they choose, this...Read full review »

Eaton’s energies enthusiasm for her interviewees, as well as for the subjects that are discussed, make these interviews come alive. The selection of guests brings an array of different perspectives, that is enriching and fun to listen to. Highly recommended.

This is a gem of a show: lively and thought-provoking interviews with theatre people about theatrical art and performance. Also, lots of unexpected laughter. Loved the Toby Stephens’ episode on how stage fights can go wrong if you’re already covered in fake blood but actually do get injured!

Prior to motherhood, I spent the better part of 25 years in the theatre community, whether it was onstage, on the crew, or as an administrator, I’ve lived and breathed theatre for as long as I can remember. I’ve listened to lots of actors talking about craft and sharing funny anecdotes, but no...Read full review »

I love hearing Lucy’s guests talking about their favourite speech. The chats are so relaxed and informal, it’s like you are overhearing them in the theatre bar after a show. You get little snippets and anecdotes from plays they have been in. It’s a window into how the actors approach their...Read full review »

Hi guys, So, if you are a theatre nerd like I am, you’ll love this podcast, since it dives deeper into what plays they choose the monologue from, as well as delightful anecdotes from the stage. The host is a delight to listen to, as are the guests, who are also very funny. It’s hard to choose a...Read full review »

I really enjoyed this podcast. I am not a massive theatre goer, but to be honest, I didnt need to be. This opened my eyes to the world of stage acting and the industry, and how difficult it can be for many. I've just finished listening to all 10 podcasts and each are unique in their own way....Read full review »

This is rapidly becoming my favourite podcast. Actors talk about acting, each other, a favourite monologue and then they do the monologue. If you’re involved in the theatre or even just interested in performing at all, this is absolutely fascinating.

A complete joy to listen to. Lucy engages with ease and her interaction with Brendan allows the listeners to develop an understanding of what makes him tick. His passion and devotion to his craft just emanates from him. Absolutely brilliant!

Lucy, Great Podcast, you "Muck Savage". Instead of being an interview, it is more of a conversation. It is like being a fly on the wall listening to friends talk about the theater. I am in America and have never been to London (yet). I find the British sensibility a breath of fresh...Read full review »

What a fabulous way to bring back the magic of theatre and the talent of actors having been a year without live entertainment! The chats are engaging and thought-provoking, provided by the fabulous host, Lucy Eaton. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

This is amazing! I'd always wanted to hear more about the actor's experience during a theatrical run - this is such a wonderful perspective to be let in on. The guests are incredible- how lucky we are to get their point of view on such wonderful plays! And to have them perform at the end!...Read full review »

Only listened to one episode and got a bit emotional as it reminded me why I love going to the theatre. Fascinating insight into performance and the experience of being on stage.

The episodes are such a good length and hearing the actors talk about the text they work on is such a unique angle that also gets them talking about themselves and their craft in a new light. Such a treat to hear the speeches from some amazing plays as well. Highly recommended!
