Great selection of films. However, it’s somewhat disappointing to listen to a presentation peppered with derogatory comments about white men, America (the great satan) & other fashionable (but uninformed) positions. The Podcaster’s knowledge of history is breathtakingly limited. Admonishing...Read full review »

Caitlin’s put together a collection of observations on film that is counter to anything I expected from a relatively obscure podcast hanging out in the recesses of itunes. Her episodes are pieces of confessional/personal art as much as they are volleys of film criticism, and I’m astonished that...Read full review »

A lovely little film podcast that is incredibly unique in it’s intimacy. The host gives such beautiful and personal analysis on a great selection of films. Really hope she comes back to making more soon.

Thank you, Caitlin for offering such a personal, tender, thoughtful approach to cinema and literature. I deeply relate to your perspective as a creative working class person and I appreciate your vulnerability and effort so much. Savor your time away and take time to heal, but know that your work...Read full review »

For anyone who is passionate about movies. Not academic, but super well informed, deeply felt, and engaged both with film history and the meaning of film in our lives.

Caitlin, I just listened to your Autumn Sonata podcast and was moved, not only by the depths of your movie analysis, but by your personal story. I believe you do connect with your listeners and are building something that is, and will continue to be, truly meaningful for other people.

Thank you for sharing so much of your personal life and helping introduce me to these wonderful films. I knew of maybe 2 of them but now my life is richer.

Her Head in Films is raw and true in exactly the way a great movie always is. It's easy to forget how beautiful and powerful a single human voice can be. Thank you Caitlin. Your courage is a much-needed reminder that the worlds within each of us matter.Read full review »

So refreshing to hear podcasts spoken so slowly and clearly, unlike most film podcasts where the speaker gabbles away so fast it’s near-impossible to keep up. Caitlin has a lovely Southern accent and is obviously speaking very personally, from the heart.

I now look for films based on episodes done by Caitlin and originally found her podcasts because I wanted deeper insights into Cleo 9-5. Very personal discussions about the impact of each film and the podcasts feels like having a film critic friend at hand.

Caitlin loves films. The way she is able to have strong personal conections to a film is awesome and she makes you appriciate films that you yourself did not like at first. This podcast feels personal. Almost as if you sit in Caitlin's room and listen to her talk. Sometimes I wish I could hug...Read full review »

The episode reviewing Fishtank is one of the most insightful and passionate pieces of film criticism I have ever read or listened to.

An intensely personal and frequently quite emotionally raw take on a wide range of films, with a particular focus on arthouse. Full of astute observations and analysis from host Caitlin, this podcast has given me plenty of movies to add to my watchlist.

I love this podcast! Caitlin is so genuine, and her taste is amazing. It’s great how she tackles film from a non-academic perspective, making film accessible to anyone. I spent a long time searching for a film podcast that didn’t feel “white-male-centric” or exclusive, so I’m thankful to Carolyn...Read full review »

I’m so happy that I found this podcast. Excellent film selection full of gems that don’t often get featured in film or nostalgia podcasts paired with Caitlin’s lovely insight. It’s so much more than just a recap or set of opinions, but rather like a ‘familiar essay’ in podcast form. You feel like...Read full review »

Caitlin is super knowledgable about films and film history but the best thing about her, as our guide into the world of cinema, is her curiosity and desire to continue to explore film frontiers she is less familiar with. I always find new films to watch and discover and am never disappointed.

I always enjoy listening to Caitlin talk about films on her podcast, whether or not I’ve actually seen the film(s) under discussion. This is because the podcast provides so much more than just a description or a review: instead a film provides the opportunity for her to think through a number of...Read full review »
