“Disappointed about how James has painted circumstantial evidence. Naive perspective. The way circumstantial evidence is often used by prosecutors is to tell a story when their is no actual hard evidence; cheap trick prosecutors use to get their win, conviction and promotion. This often results in wrongful convictions! This may or may not have happened to Scott Peterson - he was certainly tried in the media and not a courtroom. There is of course a place for circumstantial evidence, but it is a slippery slope and needs to accompany hard factual evidence.
Usually love this podcast, but disappointed today!”
