As a longtime Danieli Bolelli and Dan Carlin fan, stumbling onto this podcast totally makes my day. I’m loving this show!

Lack of empathizing with the Palestinian situation considering the decades long occupation is disappointing from a history podcast

Buuuuuut, you should educate yourself on the Mike Brown situation; you used in your analogy. There’s a great documentary called, “Stranger Fruit”, that documents with pretty concrete evidence/video, that the whole Mike Brown “charging” at the cop were completely false. It was a narrative spun by...Read full review »

Jumping from history, podcast to another history podcast, I came to meet Alexander, who, as I, is fan of Dan and Danielle. I started on episode one, and I am probably halfway through the episodes. Just fantastic! Thank you, Alexander!

For anyone with an interest in history who, like me, tends to see the Balkans as a messy place where everyone always is killing each other for no discernible reason, I highly recommend this podcast. I was aware of the importance of Balkan politics for WW1, but this goes further into the 30s and...Read full review »

So disappointed. This last episode made me realize how politically slanted this dude is. I would think a history podcast would be presented from an objective view, but Alex’s obvious bent towards blind libertarianism hits hard here. His hate of anything he n the left hand f the spectrum negates...Read full review »

Alex has a bunch of great episodes on truly fascinating topics. The show is very well researched and produced. Very interesting topics with that Carlinesque emotional focus as well. Amazing show!

If you are like me, it is hard to find worthwhile narrative history shows to wet your beak while waiting for the next hardcore history or martyr made. History impossible definitely fits that bill. Keep up the great work!

Oof
I really wanted to like this pod. I waded through the condescending and holier than thou “I’m above it all” political takes to get the history from a different perspective. I was starting to be able to get through an episode without asking “Really dude?!?”, but listening to someone disappear...Read full review »

Finished the series today , as someone that spends as much time as possible trying to at least have a skeleton of understanding of history this has been an absolute blast . Fantastic job Alex . Really enjoyed it

Alexander’s show is well researched, well scripted, and well delivered. His narration style is eloquent yet conveyed with conviction. It’s easy to listen. The information itself is engaging and transports you to the events described. This show is well worth the listen. It would be impossible not...Read full review »

Liberals don’t hate the things trump said because he said them. It’s because most of his words were lies. People didn’t compare home with nazis because they disagreed. It’s because he agreed with nazi ideology, and said it out f-ing loud.

This may not be Hardcore History, but it’s very very well done and worth of your time. If you want to get lost in a 3+ hour story that flies by after listening to a 40+ episode season of the Forgotten Wars Podcast, then Impossible History is a great choice.

Seriously professional, concise and well explained. The episodes always implement a modern context…basically why this piece of history is important. His humour is awesome and it always fills up my time at when I’m at work!!

Im one Ep in but looking forward to the rest. With a tenuous grasp on the pop culture references keeping me on my toes I am loving the take on history, the passion, and the tone. As a hardcore Dan Carlin fan I love this take on history.

Such a great podcast. If you like Hardcore History, History On Fire, Martyr Made, or any of the others, you’ll love this.

My only complaint about Alexander’s show is how much the audio skips around. I get so into it and it totally skips to another topic mid sentence, or will go back a half hour and play again. I will continue to listen because it really is a great show. Just needs some audio editing help.

Generally a well produced and delivered show. No Doubt. The first show, however, The First Donald Trump? Come on. Perhaps when it was produced, in the hystery, foundation since disprooven. Wow, what an amazing narration, synthesis, analysis, and editing job. Insightful takes on how the actions of individuals do not...Read full review »

The more I study history the more I find that many of the momentous traumas we all identify as important come stem from relatively small moments that most don’t pay attention to. This Podcast does delve into the details of history and highlights not only the angels but also the devils in our past.
