“This is a wonderful podcast which explores how American democracy finds itself at a critical point. By tracing the history of voting, disenfranchisement, white backlash, etc it is so clear where the country finds itself. We are in a time when the concept of critically examining history is not valued so instead it’s easier to say ‘this isn’t us’ or ‘how could this happen’. This podcast shows that this is in fact the US and it’s history show us that it was bound to happen when you continuously ignore the real issues of white supremacy within our systems. But it does end on a hopeful note and I hope the country can finally live up to that.”
