An enjoyable look at medieval history
The first couple of episodes may cover familiar ground for some listeners but once it starts getting into the details it is very informative; and it is throughout well-paced, well-researched and dryly witty. Definitely check it out.

I LOVE Sharyn's dry humor approach to the Crusades. Not only is the podcast thoroughly researched, she does a good job breaking down the events and characters into absorbable story arcs. Ms Eastaugh brings a dry, humorous wit and plenty of historical detail to events that deserve their telling. Wonderful. Understandable to anyone interested to learn that history is shaped as much by time and circumstance as by the characters that play their part.
