I want to love this
I’ve been listening to this podcast since they started out last year. Before writing a review, I wanted to give them a chance to find their voice. I want to love it but I don’t. Here’s why: - Matt sounds like a sad sack. He puts out zero energy and seems clinically depressed. His knowledge of pop culture is limited to the most basic edges of gay/queer culture and he isn’t the best interviewer either. If this isn’t true, please step it up and prove otherwise. - Dave dominates the show. He’s the guy with an in-depth understanding of pop culture. If it wasn’t for Dave, this show would be on life-support. Yeah - I’ve been a fan of his since his MTV days but that doesn’t matter. It’s what he’s doing today that counts. His dominance of the show seems necessary to keep it afloat, unfortunately, despite the fact that he often sounds inauthentic and forced. Bottom line: Dave could easily carry this show alone. Matt is too low-energy and boring to contribute in a meaningful way and lets Dave take the lead anyway.

This is a much needed podcast for the LGBTQ+ community. To hear stories that tell the truth about being in the community is life changing. Insightful and necessary but done with humor. Love these two beyond belief

The hosts are so genuinely interested in their guests, and the conversations so far all have been introspective, touching, and hilarious. Matt McConkey is my fav.
