I am one of four girls in my family and was raised by very religious and conservative parents. They chose to not include birth control in our family insurance plan and primarily used “scare tactics” with my sisters and I so that we would not have under-age pregnancies. I am now 29 years old and...Read full review »

Really like the podcast. Soo much to learn! I get it, the US as worst case scenario is probably more interesting but the latest season is a bit US centric in my opinion. Europe or in that matter Germany has way better standards, that I feel like some of the experts are not even aware of. So...Read full review »

In the latest episode Happy Birthday, birth control!, the guest sugarcoats eugenics. This is not okay. We can only move forward by actually confronting problematic history. Hormonal and the Clue app have lost my trust.

Thank you very much for the episode about abortions! It’s a very loaded and difficult topic, and I’m glad that you are not afraid to publicly discuss it. With the abortions bans creeping all over the world, this kind of content is much needed.

For everyone who menstruates or just wants to learn more about cool human body stuff.

Just the preview blows me away - hormones rules! The podcast is super informational. Has solid science I can trust while still being very cool and human and relatable. Love it!

Love listening to Hormonal - with every episode, I am learning something new. And sometimes I am mildly shocked by what I did not know. Thanks and keep it up!

I think it’s a good way to talk about PMS to cite scientific data and mention the cultural aspect of it. Unfortunately the cultural aspect was only mentioned in very shallow comparison behause there have been findings that women in Asian cultures do not experience menopause - not because the...Read full review »

Love the suggestion on how to talk to your doctor about side effects. My doctor never asked me about side effects when I was in the pill and I had really terrible mood swings

Fascinating discussion. This is the kind of content everyone should listen to, especially since it affects so many people in different ways. Also props to bringing inclusivity into this topic. Lots of research still to be done, but very cool to have educated and experienced voices diving into...Read full review »

Love learning about these subjects that have been more or less taboo for majority of my life. Also, I love Rhea’s soothing voice; it’s totally relaxing.☺️

I love how informative and rooted in research everything is. Even as someone who would consider myself fairy knowledge about these topics, I learned a lot and gained perspective/new ways of thinking. Also, unlike some of the other reviews, I find the host’s voice very nice and relaxing (personal...Read full review »

The topics discussed so far have provided a good insight into what happens in my body with regards to hormones and the different links with our lifestyle and environment. I highly recommend it!

I loved the information and the people invited, but listening was a challenge at times. My main complaint is that the interviews seem robotic at times and they don’t seem to connect very well. Maybe work or adjust the script or editing to make it seem more friendly and less question-answer,...Read full review »

I agree with the other people on here. Host and speakers are so bland! Find a host with a more excitement. I have started to listen to a few of these and had to stop because it’s so boring listening to them. I know we’ve got someone out there who can keep us engaged. Honestly, when I first got my period, I had no idea what to do. I talked to my sister, and she introduced me to Clue’s app. I later learned about the podcast, and I think that it helped me through soooo much. Thank you!

See previous poster’s comment titled “wrong host”. I agree 100% that the host sounds like she’s reading and makes juvenile comments that make this podcast unbearable for me :/

I have “aha” moments in every episode! I understand my body much better now and it makes it so easy to handle different situations! Please keep going :)

This has the potential to be a very informative and interesting podcast but I dislike the hosts comments and feel they are often times very immature and juvenile. Was excited about this pod but struggle to listen because the narrator sounds like they’re reading from a script for a kids TV show. Comes off as robotic and fake like a tv commercial. The content could be great but can’t say because I never get far enough in to hear the interesting info.

Finally, an open and truthful conversation on hormones. Would love to hear one on the side effects of birth controls speaking the FACTS and how harmful its side effects are.
Woolf_01 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/11/19
I really want to like this podcast but I keep getting distracted with how slow and unnatural the narrator speaks, it feels like she’s reading a script instead of talking normally. It detracts from the actual content for me unfortunately.

The information is really interesting and informative, but the host’s speaking style is insane. This is strictly a review on the episode mentioned above. Am I the only one that was angered by this? I was feeling PMS symptoms way before I knew there was a name for it.
