Acknowledging All The Feels
Dad joke warning! 😏 For real. These women have truly got a handle on the nuances of how we got here. They rightly focus on racism in the climate emergency and the spectrum ramifications. They help listeners remember that a just transition to a sustainable planet means acknowledging and treating the grief and trauma. I love the discussion of reparations (including adaptation and mitigation) for the globe’s most affected people. There’s a path forward if Mary and Amy will be leading the way.

Hot Take is a wonderful resource to keep in the know of climate news and storytelling. I love Amy Westervelt and Mary Annaise Heglar. I do wish the sound quality was a bit more professional, but what they talk about more than makes up for it!
