Focused on xenophobia—not Jennifer.
Instead of reporting the facts of her disappearance before diving into theories, episode one spends 10 of the first 20 mins of its first episode vilifying non-English-speaking workmen. Couldn’t stomach it long enough to hear what would otherwise be an important story. Fox News pandering to its base instead of focusing on the victim. Worst true crime podcast I’ve ever listened to.

I didn’t make it through the first episode due to the unchecked classist and racist statements by the victim’s family accusing the maintenance workers at her condo building of being involved in her disappearance merely because they were maintenance workers and spoke Spanish.
