“I make a lot of long drives, so naturally I turn to podcasts for entertainment. I've tried out a few more educational ones but I usually lose interest about 5 minutes in because I feel like I'm reliving monotone GE classes from undergrad. How It Began blends show-off-at-your-next-cocktail-party worthy history with a dramatic tone and cinematic soundtrack that makes me feel like I'm watching a movie. Brad's got some serious skills with words - he paints vivid pictures so I can clearly see what he's talking about without any actual visuals. I love the geeky science themes too. Perfect for a long drive, airplane ride, or bedtime story. Really happy I found this podcast, can't wait for more episodes!”Read full review »

“Brad Harris has a soothing voice and the content is of quality. You will appreciate the effort that went into making some of the episodes. The only improvement I would like to see is that the background music can be toned down a bit. Content wise, it is a great educational podcast.”
