I wanted to say I really loved this episode. Such a good balance of good questions and a lot of space and safety to answer them

Thank you for your creativity in shining a light on this part of life that there is no point in trying to shut out as it is already within all of us. You and your guests have shared so many ways to embrace and find value from sadness.

I came here because of the Tracii Guns interview. Wow, I was blown away! Tracii has been my guitar god since I was 15 (I’m now 48) and listened to and read hundreds of interviews with him. This one was different because it wasn’t just about the music. It was more personal. I am dealing with a...Read full review »

I am loving this podcast. Every episode has such thoughtful and inspired discussions. I never listen to podcasts, but began this as How to be Sad (the book) won’t be released in the US for months...and I am getting so much from Ms. Russell, and her guests. Thank you!

Really enjoying this podcast. Great, interesting guests with important stories and advice. I think Helen has a nice manner and seems ever curious about what makes us tick and how to live a happier life. I have read the book so there are a few things I’ve heard already but it’s really nice to hear...Read full review »

Helen Russell’s work is always insightful and helpful but this is truly though provoking in the best possible way. To allow ourselves to feel the sadness that is a part of being human is key to truly experiencing happiness, and being grateful for it. Thank you Helen!

I love anything Helen writes but this podcast feels like a rip-off of Elizabeth Day’s podcast ‘How to Fail’ from the language in the intro ‘how to be sad, better’ to the ‘what would you say to your younger self..’ ending, it’s essentially Elizabeth’s podcast but less well executed! It’s a shame...Read full review »

Even the trailer sounds reassuring! After 2020, this sounds like the perfect way to gain knowledge that will help us go forward into 2021 with less fear and anxiety and more acceptance- I can’t wait for it to start!!!
