Feel it took a while for the dynamics between 3 guests and 1 presenter to settle down, but the pod sounds smoother now. But whatever you do Matt, don’t bring in another guest as you did this week! I’m listening for the interaction between the three regulars and hear them develop their points. Why...Read full review »

Okay not everyone is a politics nerd but Matt, Danny, Peter and Polly have a way of opening up politics that is accessible, really fun and draws on decades of amazing experience in the British political system. Brilliant!

I really noticed how well produced this podcast is, except the listener poetry.

Entertaining podcast where people from different parties actually listen to each other

This is much more fun than all the other political podcasts out there, great anecdotes and analysis and really makes me laugh.

I love this show it’s a bit different to the other main political pod casts in the uk and the tone and insights are wonderful along with a few very funny stories from their pasts shared throughout

Excellent concept and I am learning a lot but… more Polly contributions please - then be 5 *

You don’t need to listen to any of these other dull political podcasts. Peter, Polly and Danny are much more fun and insightful

It needs to be Mandelson and one other. Why have 5 people vieing to get a point in?

…more Polly please, less pure Peter/Daniel dialogue (there’s at least three parties worth discussing). Also more bizarre jumper analysis please.

Listened to this on a whim & found it much more accessible than I expected - an engaging listen. Covers not only the election but also relevant news and current affairs - it’s great to hear the presenters’ different viewpoints (they’re all political insiders) and host Matt Chorley keeps...Read full review »

A perfect balance of political discussion, commentary and anecdotes about previous elections. This may be the most important contribution to sensible political debate this century!

The Trumpet theme tune sound very much like the theme tune to Dallas. Was Rachel Reeves involved in writing in ?

All three panelists are very insightful. Matt Chorley as host gives it a good energy and light, enjoyable tone.

Great podcast with Danny Finkelstein on good form and Peter Mandelson astute and assured. Matt Chorley hosts in the background like a captain who steers the ship without heavy involvement and Poly Mackenkie was quiet on the first episode, but has a lot more to say. Absolute quality.

Funny and interesting conversation from funny and interesting people. And Matt Chorley. 😁 The best political radio show presenter brings experienced and knowledgeable people together from different sides of UK politics to talk about elections as grown ups. I’m an addict for Matt Chorley’s Times Radio daily show. So delighted more Chuckles Chorley with the catty humour of Mandelson. Huffy of Hove

I found it very interesting, clearly all three have lots of stories to share that will be fascinating as we progress towards an election. It is early days, but I did think it was missing some of the presenter chemistry that is there in buckets in Rest is politics, and For the many. I want to...Read full review »

This is fantastic. The experience and the anecdotes, the wit and wisdom these four can bring to politics made me realise we did indeed need another politics podcast. What’s more, this one is the only one any of us needs now: the essential guide for the next however long it is before the election.
