“This is to ALL astronomy related podcasts/sites/astronomers. When you present an illustration or animation or video that is a visualization, you SHOULD clearly LABEL it as so and also show the REAL output. In this world of fake news and GLOBAL GOSSIP enabled by whatsapp and facebook I think it is necessary so that the public understand the reality and don't turn around and say NASA/ESA etc are faking things (see youtube comments). Anyway the public rarely has critical reasoning skills which is further dulled now by the rampant gossip enabled by the tools mentioned above. this is true even in developed countries where the education levels are higher, yet they mess things up and WORST in developing countries where vast populations have suddenly been exposed to tech/internet but with very low education levels. E.g. look at the lynchings that took place in India due to clever misuse of WhatsApp.”Read full review »
