I feel like the pod as a whole brings up really important questions and topics that are not discussed enough. The Hunt Quietly organization is tackling hunter caused issues rather than burying their head in the sand like the majority of the industry. Give a couple of episodes a listen before you...Read full review »

I would handsomely bet my full hunting future life, that what this podcast will put true conservation and habitat concerns into a genuine priority not eroded by self fame or money. This is a proper grass roots podcast, a mature philosophy of hunting without the disingenuous intentions that...Read full review »

Fantastic deep dive into critical issues concerning hunting, climate and environmentalism.

I was really excited to hear his podcast with Hal Herring of BHA Podcast (who I love and highly recommend). However, I was really let down. This podcast has horrible audio and is cringy to listen to. Rinella seems hardly interested in anything Hal has to say. “Oh” and “huh” seem to be his...Read full review »

Matt’s position is a giant conundrum effecting every single hunter. To include the paid influencers, and more so the passionate outdoorsmen would have seen the hunting pressure mushroom to something unprecedented with the growth of social media. Keep up the great topics, and guests.

Matt, it’s a great show with your content. I listened today for the first time after seeing a link show up in one of my Facebook posts. I live in North Carolina, so episode 94 was particularly important to me. But you have to get better audio equipment. The conversation reminded me of when I used...Read full review »

This review is written on November 5th 2023, please don’t stop this podcast Matt because maybe now it’s only been 3000 people who have heard your integral message, A truly altruistic message which the world needs more of, maybe one day it’s 10000 people or maybe 100000 people one day. This guy gets it, if you want legit thought on the scene of hunting in the US today and where it’s headed you need to listen. Also enjoy the low rent production, how discussions should be

Way to go Matt literally everything you talked about flushed.

Great job on the talk for the P&Y convention. Very compelling arguments in regards to hunting promotion. I am a big fan of BHA but other than that I’m with you on most of these issues which definitely are negatively impacting public land diy hunting.

Matt does a great job discussing the issues facing the hunter today who isn’t born in the lucky sperm club with abundant private land to hunt. The word of hunting without posting it to social media and hotspotting public land needs to gain more traction and this podcast supports it. 5 stars

Dude, for the love of god get some better audio equipment for the show. If I stop listening, that will be the reason.

Agree with Matt on his issues. Appreciate him being a voice for the reality of public land hunting. It’s a money game for the state wildlife life agencies, non-profits and social media hunting sluts. I call them out too and it’s not popular. The hunting public is blind to the hypocrisy of...Read full review »

Love listening into the conversations and the topics discussed. I have a baby on the way and it’s always making me think about what their future with hunting and the outdoors looks like. My only negative about this podcast is sometimes Matt takes so long to respond I think I’m getting a phone...Read full review »

A much needed critical voice in the era of endless commodification. You may not agree with every view point here, but I’d argue that this podcast is the only avenue of serious self reflection in the hunting community and the outdoor industry as a whole.

If you love inebriated rants, personal attacks, and regurgitation of the same points, step on in. You’ll love this train wreck in motion. Don’t plan to have to hear guests points because Matt is incapable of allowing anyone to finish a thought. You’ll hear his inability to mention his brother...Read full review »

I enjoy listening to Matt speak on a lot of issues hunters face today, I don’t agree with every single opinion, but that’s why I also enjoy listening, don’t think it would be a good podcast if it was just always an echo chamber of everything I hold near and dear. Keep up the good work, I also...Read full review »

What I like about what Matt has done is make you really think in relation to real outcomes of hunting pressure and the issues social media has on hunting. It’s time us stand up for hunting and protect its core values.

Love the podcast! In this episode specifically, I was hoping to learn more about the extinct eastern elk subspecies. There is little to no content out there on the eastern elk and was hoping that would be covered more. Lots of questions on how the eastern elk thrived in Pennsylvania prior to them...Read full review »

Matt disregards anyones opinion and solely bases his thoughts on socialism beliefs. Disregards people’s hard work on how they’ve made it to where they are and everything he argues is contradicting. Terrible podcast.

All influencers should be forced to hunt out of the same trailhead. Blowing up hunting spots for likes/business has been infuriating. Listening to some of your guests claim their posts motivate people…it motivates people for the wrong reasons leading to animals being killed unlawfully. Thanks for...Read full review »

It seems a contradiction to promote a podcast that combats the hunting content industry, but I think this perspective is valuable and much needed even if I don’t agree with everything Matt says. Worth the listen, even if only to challenge your own opinions and hear a different perspective.

Keep it up. Love the topics. What do u think about hunting in the future with increasing human populations. I can’t imagine what holidays and family events would be like.lol

A refreshing, and at times, bracing outdoors podcast — vastly different and more original than the usual pissing contests. Overcrowding is a huge issue. Most of my hunts revolve around trying to predict human behavior, not the animals I’m after. Even on limited entry hunts, it’s not uncommon for me to see 5+ people with one tag holder. It’s turned in to a circus, though without the entertainment. Really takes away...Read full review »

I thoroughly enjoy Matt’s point of view and his ability to articulate a well-informed and very well-defined set of “rules” for keeping hunting and fishing a pure form of outdoor recreation; for current and future generations to provide resources for themselves. I share the similarity with matt that social media hunting trends are not valuable nor will it promote hunting in a good light. I agree that we must all be more responsible for ourself, and understand that hunting is a thing I partake in and that isn’t not my whole identity. Also, share that...Read full review »

Matt makes a solid argument although he readily admits he doesn’t do enough research as this podcast isn’t his career.
