“I used to listen daily, but now I pick my episodes based on the topics - usually pop-culture, sometimes political. This is the only Crooked podcast i still listen to, because I genuinely enjoy the ladies, their humor and points of view (albeit a bit echo chamber-y). My problem with Crooked podcasts is that of ideology. They claim to be super progressive but most of the time align closely with the democratic establishment, which has become republican-lite since Clinton. I would like to see even more emphasis on progressive causes such as labor, climate, healthcare, income disparity and education. These topics are often discussed very superficially, often a bit tone-deaf, either because the podcasters are uncomfortable highlighting their own privilege and how it affects others, or they are misinformed, out of touch, etc.
I believe they can do much better and appeal to a much wider audience if they embraced a more radically-human stance.”
