Some of the best EJ history you will find...
I have been a fan of Elton and Bernie's since my high school days of 1972-1975. If you are also a fan, or even mildly curious about the history of these Tin Pan Alley twins, then this is the podcast for you! If you are expecting tabloid glitz about the rockstar Elton John, well, you are in for a surprise! Neil immediately delves not only into Elton's history, but that of the musicians who played on his earliest recordings and live sets as well as those who inspired him in his formative years. And the train keeps on a'rollin' from there... you will learn about the struggles, the failures and the triumphs of this entourage of gifted musicians, producers and technicians as they ride this rocketship into the stratosphere of pop music, all while re-acquainting us with the very roots (or, in my opinion, the "best part") of Elton's remarkable journey... great stuff, and Neil Barrett gives it a twist of his own with his ever-humble expertise. Well done!Read full review »

This podcast does an excellent job breaking down the individual elements of songs, thus giving a fresh look to songs I thought I knew so well. His interviews are extraordinarily well informed and insightful. A true gift for any Elton fan.
