I want to hang out with Jerry Linenger
A Midnight Snack in Space was/is nothing short of amazing, entertaining and educational. Jerry Linenger is instantly likable and very much down-to-earth despite being an astronaut. A few takeaways: physiological challenges of being in space for an extended time are unfathomable (bone loss, muscle atrophy, constant dehydration, the effort necessary to simply exercise, etc.); sleep deprivation (given there are 15 night/day cycles every 24 hours; they successfully fought / put out a freaking fire in space (wow, the presence of mind to do that); and his reminder: there's no place like home (Earth).
