I SPY: The Counterspy
With some in-depth experience with Cuban DOD and CIA operations, I thought this episode was 10x10 on target. The corollaryto this episode is the Cuban infiltration of the USA. It was deeper and more penetrating that that of the KGB or any other country's counterintelligence ops (maybe except that of our ally, Israel)…as unbelievable as that me seem. Great production to boot. Congrats, Margindale. Louis de la Guardia Wein PS. In the mid 1950s, Fidel Castro use to visit our apartments in Washington Heights to speak with my Grandmother (Donna Maria Isabela de la Guardia) to gain her support (and that of the Cuban community as well as use her name in Oriente and Havana in his objective to overthrow Batista. He made a fool of all of us convincing the family he was a Christian who daily received communion (not the COMMUNIST he was)! Louis de la Guardia Wein. PS. Having worked in multimedia production previously, I have a firm appreciation for the art of storytelling. This podcast is the perfect blend— entertaining, riveting and beautiful to hear about the humanistic side of espionage in a very compelling way. Very eager for season 2!
