Good but could be great
I’m a big fan of Jamila’s work and I enjoy listening to her talk on other podcasts, but she doesn’t seem entirely comfortable in the role of interviewer. I wish she would ask a question and then leave space for the other person to talk rather than asking a question, getting a brief answer, then stepping in with lengthy commentary about her own opinion on the subject. The whole point of an interview is to get the interviewee’s take on things, not the interviewer’s. I’ll check back on later episodes because I want to like this podcast and I think it’s a space for important conversation, but it’s a missed opportunity to have an illustrious guest on a show and not let them fully tell their story.

Love the podcast- guests are inspiring for a young woman in business. I would add to try and let the guest speak a bit more- I find they get interrupted too frequently.

I absolutely LOVE this podcast. I can tell that Jameela takes her time to pick the topics that are discussed and they are also very personal to her. Thank you for allowing yourself to be so vulnerable in order to help everyone else. ❤️

The energy of the episode was very warm and calm—definitely felt like I was listening to two friends talk about serious and funny things. I’m so glad this podcast...Read full review »
