Wonder interviews, poor editing
Iain Dales personality and style really make these book club hours heartily engaging. He manages to relax and nuture the authors encouraging a fun engaging experience. The way he normally introduces 3 authors at a time, often completely different in political views and style, yet gets them chatting and swapping experiences without any conflict is masterful. Sadly the editing is often truly shocking, adverts start randomly in the middle of sentances, at a much louder volume that the rest of the podcast, often the panel and interviewer will also be talking at a totally different volume, whilst non media trained guests can be excused for not talking into themicrophone, surely the studio engineers could sort it out. Most unforgiveable is how the podcasts just suddenly end, especially the third when it just stops half way through Sebastian Faulks answer. Superb content, please sort out the editing

More reviews of Iain Dale’s Book Club
I love this podcast - the space it allows for a proper discussion with an author, hearing the ideas behind the book. Like other reviewers I too have the blunt cut off at the end of the podcast. Wish it could be sorted out.

2 star rating for this contributor only. Fairly pointless talking to SG who seems unwilling to countenance anyone else’s point of view. Have listened to several other ‘Book Clubs’, including Nicky Campbell, Peter Dickson, Andrea Leadsom, Chris Bryant- all 5 star interviews. If you’ve listened to...Read full review »

Love you Ian and the quality of guests, books and discussion each week. I am disappointed in the quality of connection some of your guests have - make it difficult to hear what they’re saying- do they check before ‘zooming’ in????
