Listening can sometimes detect pathways that the eye too easily glides over, especially if one has been reading thee stories for a while. Mr David Ault has been tireless in recording these works for us; he should know it is not unappreciated!

Beautiful way to end the day, with Idries Shah. David Ault simply delivers the reading of the great man, with no need to insert himself. Thank you David. Creates a peaceful transmission.

I love reading the books but it is such a treat to hear them narrated so beautifully.

Intellectuals value thought, emotionalists live by feelings, but these stories present a path to getting started on a journey of discovering a reality hidden beyond the phenomenal world. The tales are entertaining, but as one hears and reads them again and again, they become guides on our path...Read full review »

These readings from the books of Idries Shah are most interesting. They cover a wide range and include humor, philosophy, psychology, history, and world tales. But they all make you think - often in unfamiliar ways.

My deepest thanks to all of you who have made this possible. I have been reading and rereading Idries Shah for the last 25 years and it has changed my life, how I understand others and the world. It has broadened my thinking in wonderful ways. Now I can always have a little Idries Shah with me...Read full review »

These presentations and stories have a way of influencing our thinking to the betterment of our adjustment. These amazing stories will make you think more than you have ever thought before. They really change our perspective, allowing us to think "outside the box." Wonderful and wise.

Sooner or later, we all ask, "Is that all there is?" Idries Shah describes in allegorical terms the process by which that voice becomes stilled amid the distractions of our daily life. But for some of us, that still small voice grows louder and more insistent as we age. This podcast - and "The...Read full review »

Wonderful story about mankind´s situation. Learning by listening to stories is how mankind have learnt for thousands of years. I am so glad for this podcast. Thanks for this opportunity.

Idries Shah was a superb storyteller, whose stories not only entertain, but act as finely tuned instruments to show us to ourselves. They allow us to see (not always consciously) what is standing in our way towards greater fulfilment and how best to achieve our potential. It is a pleasure hearing...Read full review »

I know a man who rates this story so highly that he treats it as though it is alive, always making a meal and a bed for it before he even considers reading or telling it. I marvel at him, but he's a bit over the top for me. It is a most engaging tale though, ancient and wicked, young and full...Read full review »

The message (the content) has to adapt to the current times (container). A very good idea, bringing a timeless wisdom closer and easy to access. Congratulations.

I’m so glad that these stories have been released as a podcast. The narrator is the same person who voices the Idries Shah audiobooks, so you’re essentially getting bite-sized pieces of the audiobooks. This is such a great way to continue the tradition of storytelling in a modern format.
