Description
As a home baker and the office feeder at my day job, I take my cake seriously. And even though at first glance you may not realise what goes into making a dream wedding cake, trust me when I tell you it's a lot! So for today's episode I sat down (over a big bowl of red velvet cake scraps that I absolutely devoured) with the amazing Ash from Creme De La Cakes. Ash makes the most delicious and beautiful cakes from her purpose built kitchen in Melbourne and is an absolute wealth of knowledge when it comes to what makes the perfect wedding cake. We chat everything from how big your cake really needs to be to feed the right amount of guests to how to do it yourself if that's what you really want! And here's a fun fact I learnt during our interview: in the industry, they call the wedding cake makers, cakers! How cute is that?
