Episodes
Sadly, it seems that at least for the time-being we've hit the end of the road with this podcast. This will be the last episode but I'm grateful we were able to talk to BHAB for this last one.    Smell you later,  Rich and Ian.

Hello all, Love is sometimes a word thrown around loosely, but while recording and then again while listening back I remembered just how much I love these dudes. Anyways, Here's the 2nd part of our Bev Clone episode.  RIP TOM   https://bevclone.bandcamp.com/ https://councilrecords.com/album/compendium   Love,   Rich and Ian.

We sat down with our old friends in Bev.Clone (well, 3/5 of them anyways). We had a lot of laughs and recounted some memories with Ben, Jim and Karl. Oh, and guess what? They have a discography tape coming out as well as a lathe cut 12". Preorders going live very soon (maybe by time you read this, even). https://linktr.ee/BeginnersTapes  And the direct links:   https://beginnerstapes.bandcamp.com/ https://bevclone.bandcamp.com/ RIP Tom Love, Rich and Ian.

Hey Hey! So last year we interviewed Jim, Ben, Karl and Adam from AMA and Ryan from My Own Pine Box makes a brief appearance.  We talk Bombs Lullabye, Agna Moraine and My Own Pine Box, tour hijinks, the storied Pittsburgh fest and all matters of Joseph Mattson wackiness (love you, Joe). The sound quality of this episode isn't the best (at times, it sounds like a dub record), but we think the stories are well worth it. Also, new episodes will sound much better as I have decided to up my mic...

I have said this before, but it bears repeating. Vine were BIG for us Kzoo kids. We sat down with Ryan and Greg for an extraordinarily noisy episode (Our fault) and talk 80s Kzoo and Detroit, The precursor to Vine, Firesale and tour stories. Enjoy!

Hey hey! Long time no talk! This time around we interview local legends, The Deconstruction. It was a great pleasure to get 4 dudes who hadn't had a chance to hang out together to do it , even if it wasn't digital. We hear stories of 80s Kalamazoo punk and Skateboarding and also hear their perspective on the time we came into things as wide eyed hc/punk kids. Enjoy!   Also, check out the Deconstruction LP: https://belairsound.bandcamp.com/album/light-yourself-on-fire   you can also...

We're back with a jam packed episode of amazing stories from Joel Wick! He's the guy that introduced us and a lot of other people to a whole new world. From running Hole In The Wall Record Store, playing in Firesale, Spork, Jihad, Quixote & Mesa; to booking DIY shows in every available spot (Including Club Soda matinees!) making his own venues (Dagobah Square and 31G respectively) running his label Makoto records, and, y'know, almost getting punched by Henry Rollins. This one's got it...

INSOGREY (Feat. past members of Constatine Sankathi, Denial, Renobs AND future members of Agna Moraine's Autobiography) were great friends and an important part of the Kalamazoo scene (Check the rerelease of their demo on Council Records Bandcamp). Oh and they're also the sweetest, funniest, people. We got (almost) ALL of them to talk at the same time about their history, their experiences in the scene and the result is delightful.

The final leg of the doom tour. Bad vibes prevail but don't worry, we have some laughs and a wistful memory here and there.

The events leading up to and including the start of our doomed second tour: Sketchy van purchases, shoplifting, the allure of San Diego, a man with a knife and someone put LSD in a pie.  And some crying.

The purity and naivety of first loves (Nothing can keep me away from her, NOT EVEN HER BOYFRIEND!!!), The homoeroticism of hc/punk, Wrestling and being defeated by young very thin gentlemen, Crying, spoken words, the end of Inso Grey. It's all happening!!!

We're up and running, we're recording, we're playing out of town shows, our first tour...it's all happening!

Now we're playing more fests, technically playing with Fugazi, getting hassled by Indiana cops on a highway median-and eventually-everyone starts crying for one reason or another (You knew that was going to happen eventually, right?)

In which we introduce ourselves and give you a little peek into how we met, where we're from and what our dads were jamming on the turntable. How it all began, basically.
