Pelmeni for the Soul!
This is an amazing podcast. The author tells the tales so well, I can taste my grandma‘s “snacks”. She called everything snacks, when every dish and condiment filled our counter to overflowing. Really, like Tetris. Nicholas Kotar has this same way of displaying the delicious story, and then reminds you to “don’t forget the sour cream, have those with hot sauce, and don’t eat the little cakes without the caviar, just a little, to taste the deep sea.” The spirit and hope of Jesus the Nazarene was given to the people in parables. Tolstoy also express mysterious agape in story. Additionally, let’s not forget our Grandma, who got us through lean times like so: “Oh, you have broken arm? I will tell you a story about a girl with no feet who confronted the Tzar, and saved her whole village.” Yes, times are challenging, but not Stalingrad challenging. So sit awhile, and have a snack while Nicholas keeps you company with the tales of humor, honor, and a little caviar, just a taste!

The fairytales being read are wonderful. The only thing I wish was that there were transcripts so I can have to the tales in writing. It’s not easy to find some of these Slavic fairytales on the internet!
