Ive listened to 5/6 episodes of this podcast so far and all they offer are personal rebuttals and anecdotes for whatever tangent they're on. They go off topic constantly which makes you forget that they're trying to debunk a documentary. Sad to see something as biassed and unscientific...Read full review »

I enjoy the banter, but at some point you have got to present some information. I’m only on the first episode so I’m hoping it gets better.

Unfortunately there is no substance to the episodes in this podcast. They are critical of whatever they talk about just for the sake of being critical. They do not strive to present an unbiased review of the science behind the topic. I checked out this podcast because of a recommendation from The...Read full review »

So real so honest!! I am so happy to have found this podcast especially at the start of my non-dieting journey!! Love everything about this podcast but most of all, the humor 🥰

While I agree with and appreciate what this podcast is trying to achieve, unfortunately the superior tone taken by the hosts is really untidy and off-putting. My feedback would be to keep to the facts, explain them with compassion for the listener who may be overwhelmed with all the...Read full review »

I had started listening because PIxie Turner had been on a podcast talking about dieting and diet culture and how harmful it is. They have provided some valuable links and even assisted in me loosening my thoughts around bariatric surgery. I like having my world view shifted with facts. That...Read full review »

I put 4/5 bc I love Pixie on insta but would’ve rated it lower if it wasn’t her. Scientific content is sometimes limited and not very detailed, lots of useless swearing, anti-vegan and anti-men stuff (some might call it feminism but I don’t think that’s what feminism should be about). It’s okay....Read full review »

Although I really like the purpose of this show, I would like to suggest to the hosts that they avoid talking about calories. As someone recovering from an ED, I felt triggered by their discussion about weight gain and its correlation to eating macronutrients and calories in excess. I know it...Read full review »

Great debunking of various kinds of stupid health advice by a nutritionist and a medical doctor. Done with lots of fun and giggle, so it's not dry and boring.Read full review »

To both Nikki & Pixie. I’ve been listening to the series for a few months now; it came at the right time as I returned to studying. I wasn’t sure what I was going to end up doing when I began & this podcast has deadset helped form my path. I now understand I know nothing & this is the...Read full review »

Love this podcast. Two knowledgable women sharing a sensible and nuanced perspective on these terrible documentaries- whilst also having a good laugh at some of the ridiculousness of them. Everyone should be forced to listen to the related episodes after watching any of these BS shows

It’s nice to have someone dissect those ‘wellness’ docos so that I don’t have to. Nikki and Pixie seem like good friends who have a consistent scientific approach to the content.

We need so many more places to hear real science and information about so many of these topics. I love both Pixie and Dr Nikki so much and hearing them talk and discuss is so fun! They always sound like they are having the best time.

This podcast is amazing! Presented by two wonderfully intelligent and funny women (a registered nutritionist and a cardiothoracic surgeon) who tell it like it is after watching wellness documentaries. Fantastic podcast! Great opinions about the madness of the wellness industry, backed up with science. There is always at least one laugh out loud moment in each episode. Thank you Pixie and Nikki!

With this Podcast. I love how honest the ladies are about these ‘wellness’ claims. Pixie is blunt AF and Dr Nikki is incredible knowledgeable and her laugh is the best 🙌🏻

An excellent podcast by two experts who are obviously enjoying themselves. Dr Nikki’s laugh worth the price of admission alone. So good to hear we’ll articulated science communication.

I so wanted to enjoy this podcast - I follow Pixie on Instagram and I think she's great for busting diet myths - but I found the childish humour difficult to manage. An excellent example of how to critically consume content- funny, informative, highlighting the hypocrisy and false equivalencies used in the types of documentaries. Also empathetic and kind- hard balance to strike! Great job!!

Love love LOVE this podcast, if I could give it 6 stars, I would. Finally two people who are delving into and dissecting all the quackery. Can’t recommend it highly enough, each episode leaves me waving my anti-fad pom-poms!

Humane, compassionate and (I guess the most important thing) QUALIFIED people who don’t hold back in calling out the bull-shirt. I love this podcast. I’ve never studied nutrition but I do read a lot and question a lot. Just before listening to this I watched half a documentary by Dr Michael Mosley. It’s a shame that they have to be so patronising. I can’t figure out if they are trying to be funny or what is going on 🧐 I’ve been following both on Instagram, liked the content and bought some of the books but I’m not getting a good vibe from this podcast 😬😔
